北京时间4月23日，据美国媒体报道，火箭队CEO泰德-布朗即将卸任。在赛季结束之后他将辞职，对此在回顾职业生涯时，他提到了自己与姚明是同一周进入到火箭队的。
布朗在火箭队效力了20年之久，在谈及过往的一些美好瞬间时，他说道：“有太多了，所有都是非常美好的回忆。姚明和我在同一周开始了球队之旅，在火箭队我结交了很多朋友，在这个团队里有很多名人堂教练和球员，同时过去20年火箭队打出过很多精彩的季后赛表现。”
