北京时间6月14日，凯尔特人正在对新帅人选进行面试。有消息称，不少人支持他们找一个有色人种当教练。
其中包括凯尔特人名宿塞德里克-马克斯维尔。他外号“玉米面包”，是1981年的总决赛MVP。
“我觉得让一个有色人种当教练这很重要，因为在凯尔特人管理层，从上层到老板，全都是白人，”他说，“这对球员有所帮助，他们更能找到归属感。”
