北京时间7月10日，据湖人跟队记者凯尔-古恩报道，湖人助教菲尔-汉迪在最近接受了奇才主教练职位的面试。
凯尔-古恩表示，汉迪虽然没有表明他要离开洛杉矶，但他确实有在未来成为一名主教练的雄心，未来可能会接受更多类似的面试。
菲尔-汉迪在2016年随骑士拿到总冠军，在过去两个赛季分别随猛龙和湖人拿到了总冠军。
