12支男篮球队有11支至少有1名现役NBA球员参加；12支女篮球队有8支至少有1名现役WNBA球员参加。
27支NBA球队和10支WNBA球队都有球员参加今年的奥运会。
有13名入选过全明星的球员参加今年的奥运会。
