北京时间8月17日，据美国媒体报道，约什-哈特与新奥尔良鹈鹕队完成续约。
经纪人透露哈特在成为自由球员之后，接到了鹈鹕队的资质报价，成为受限制的自由球员。经过一番协商之后，最终哈特选择与鹈鹕续约，双方达成一份为期3年价值为3800万美元的合同。
上个赛季哈特场均为鹈鹕队出战28.7分钟，贡献9.2分6.9个篮板和2.3次助攻。
