加鲁巴来自西班牙，出生于2002年3月9日，身高2.03米，体重104公斤。上赛季效力于皇家马德里，司职前锋，场均得到5.7分5.4篮板。
在今年的选秀大会上，火箭在第23顺位选走加鲁巴，随后他向皇马管理层付了300万买断费用加盟火箭。
