北京时间8月25日，湖人老将贾里德-杜德利正式退役，随后他在社交媒体上发表了自己的退役感言。
杜德利写道：“伙计，多么棒的旅程！14年的生涯以和湖人夺得冠军做为收尾（capped off by winning a NBA championship with the Lakers），在此感谢上帝对我的保佑，同时也感谢詹姆斯、浓眉、珍妮-巴斯和湖人整个团队，假如没有詹姆斯和浓眉，我就不会加入湖人，当然也不会赢得一枚总冠军戒指。”
