北京时间8月26日，据美国媒体报道，约什-理查德森在被交易到凯尔特人之后，新赛季开始前就与球队提前续约，绿军跟队记者爆料了他的合同细节。
据悉，理查德森新赛季的年薪为1220万美元，比2020-21赛季的薪水涨了5%。理查德森与凯尔特人队签订的是一年的提前续约合同。
上个赛季理查德森场均为独行侠出战30.3分钟，贡献12.1分3.3个篮板和2.6次助攻1次抢断。
