北京时间8月26日，骑士探花秀埃文-莫布里更新个人社交媒体，发布了几段视频，晒出他为哥哥以赛亚-莫布里准备的生日礼物，一辆大众牌的汽车。
埃文和以赛亚上赛季都在南加利福尼亚大学打球，之后两人都报名参加了NBA选秀。以赛亚后来选择退出选秀重回大学，而埃文则被骑士以探花签选中。
身为探花秀，莫布里的新秀合同为4年3670万美元。
