北京时间9月4日，凯尔特人与贾雷尔-克里斯蒂安签约，让他成为发展联盟球队的主教练。
克里斯蒂安才35岁，作为主帅仍很年轻，他在2019年就开始当奇才的助理教练。上赛季还是奇才教练组一员。
他也是球员出身，但没打过职业联赛，只进过大学校队。
从2009年开始，才23岁的他就开始从事教练行业，逐渐进军NBA。此前都是当助理教练，这是他第一次当主帅。
凯尔特人的发展联盟球队跟他们同名。原来叫缅恩红爪队（也译为小龙虾队），今年刚更名为缅恩凯尔特人。
2019年，凯尔特人收购这支球队，但一直没搬家。（吴哥）
