据美国篮球记者沃神爆料，在这笔交易中，篮网队将小乔丹加上2022、2024、2025和2027未来四个次轮选秀权以及部分现金送至底特律，换来了奥卡福和敦布亚。
小乔丹到了活塞之后，底特律管理层并不打算将其留在队中，也在试图与其达成买断。而篮网队通过这笔交易，则是省去了4700万美元的支出。
