北京时间9月5日，布鲁克林篮网队官方宣布球队将德安德鲁-乔丹交易送走，换来了塞古-敦布亚和贾希尔-奥卡福。
在这笔交易中，篮网队送走小乔丹节省了4800万美元的支出，为此他们还搭上了未来四个选秀权以及部分现金给底特律活塞队。
而活塞队在得到小乔丹之后的数小时，便与其达成买断协议，放小乔丹自由身。等待小乔丹度过澄清期之后，他将与洛杉矶湖人队正式签约，目前双方已经达成一致，就等时间一过便会签合同。
