在休赛期，湖人通过交易得到拉塞尔-威斯布鲁克，又签下安东尼、霍华德、阿里扎、隆多、小乔丹和艾灵顿等老将，还签下了纳恩和蒙克等年轻球员。
湖人被认为是夺冠的大热门，应该很少有人觉得他们无法打进季后赛。
