北京时间9月13日，活塞名宿本-华莱士正式入选了名人堂，马刺名宿蒂姆-邓肯在接受采访时谈到了华莱士的职业生涯。
邓肯表示：“他的生涯经历是我听过的最不可思议的经历之一。”
华莱士以一名落选秀的身份在联盟中征战了16个赛季，4次入选全明星，2次成为篮板王，1次成为盖帽王，4次当选最佳防守球员，5次入选一防，1次获得总冠军。
