北京时间9月15日，印第安纳步行者队今天公布，埃蒙德-萨姆纳已经成功完成了跟腱撕裂手术，具体康复日期还没有确定时间表。
萨姆纳之前在训练中遭遇了左脚跟腱撕裂的伤病，今年夏天步行者执行了球队选项，下个赛季将是萨姆纳的合同年。
上个赛季萨姆纳场均出战16.2分钟，贡献7.5分1.8个篮板，三分球命中率为39.8%。
