北京时间10月5日，据美国媒体报道，底特律活塞队即将迎来他们季前赛第一个对手，主教练德文-凯西接受采访时谈到了状元凯德-康宁汉姆的伤势。
康宁汉姆在之前的训练中扭伤了脚踝，虽然是轻度扭伤，但是经过检查之后，球队还是并没有安排他快速回归。
