北京时间10月19日，奇才与丹尼尔-加福德达成协议，签下了3年4020万美元的合同。
加福德2019年第二轮被公牛挑中，今年才23岁。上赛季他被交易到奇才，代表奇才打了23场比赛，场均得10.1分和5.6个篮板。
身高2.11米的加福德能力得到证明，他可以成为奇才的首发中锋。
他的新秀合同还有两年，本赛季年薪为178万美元。从2023-24赛季开始，年薪将涨到1333万美元左右。
