Evil Geniuses' Cr1t- is the next player to join 11K MMR club

Andreas Franck "Cr1t-" Nielsen is the latest member of Dota 2’s most illustrious club.

The Evil Geniuses support player has reached 11,000 MMR. This makes him the fifth member of the 11K MMR club, joining a handful of other Dota 2 stars. Though Cr1t- hit the mark while streaming on Twitch, he confirmed the milestone on his Twitter account shortly thereafter with a screenshot showing his MMR to be 11,010.

By hitting 11,010 MMR, Cr1t- becomes the first player to primarily compete on North American servers to hit that mark and the second player attached to Evil Geniuses to join the 11K MMR club. The full list of players to hit 11,000 MMR includes:

  • Abed “Abed” Azel L. Yusop
  • Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon
  • Danil "gpk" Skutin
  • Egor "epileptick1d" Grigorenko

Cr1t- follows Abed, others in hitting 11K MMR

Abed became the first player to hit 11,000 MMR, reaching that milestone in May. This followed him becoming the first to reach 10,000 MMR in 2017, and the first to hit this mark after the MMR system was redesigned in 2019.

Southeast Asia has traditionally been one of the strongest regions when it comes to its pub scene, and this was evident when 23savage repeated Abed's feat in July. CIS duo gpk and epileptick1d cleared the hurdle a month later, becoming the first two players to reach 11,000 MMR outside SEA.

Even with a few players having come before him, Cr1t- reaching 11,000 MMR is a significant achievement.

Evil Geniuses has competed just once since July, playing in Omega League where the team finished fifth. At the moment, the future of the team is uncertain as the organization has multiple players separated around the globe and the team is not currently set to compete in any upcoming events. This suggests that Evil Geniuses is set for either a major overhaul or a potential move to Europe.

Where Cr1t- goes from here is unclear, but odds are that his MMR will continue going up.
