EPIC League resulted in one of the biggest shifts in the player rankings to date. Virtus.pro’s strong performance in the event was a crowning achievement for the organization and established the team as the best in the CIS region once again. Meanwhile, Team Secret posted its worst performance of 2020, going 10-10 in the group stage and suffering an early elimination from the playoffs.
That was a big event on the Dota 2 calendar, and it wasn’t the only one. Realms Collide 2 wrapped up, as did OGA Dota PIT Season 4. Here are the latest rankings as they stand today:

Nisha, Zai fall out of top spots as N0tail vaults up
Team Secret has long had an iron grip on the top spots in the player rankings, with a few installments actually having the top five entirely made up of Team Secret players. That changed here.
After previously making up the top three, Michał "Nisha" Jankowski, Ludwig “zai” Wahlberg, and Lasse Aukusti "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen all slid in the rankings, with Nisha and Zai at fifth and sixth, and MATUMBAMAN dropping all the way to 12. Jumping up over everyone at Team Secret is OG's Johan “N0tail” Sundstein. This completes what has been a steady rise for the veteran, who has been jumping up several places at a time over the last two months. He joins OG teammate and top-10 staple Topias Miikka "Topson" Taavitsainen on the list.
Vici Gaming, PSG.LGD stars lead Chinese takeover
With Secret’s decline in the player rankings, established Chinese players had a chance to shine. Wang "Ame" Chunyu, Zeng "Ori" Jiaoyang, and new top-ranked player Ren "eLeVeN" Yangwei all jumped over zai and Nisha. They aren’t alone, either. Du "Monet" Peng retained his spot in the top 10 while Zhang "y`" Yiping just sneaked up into the top 10.
The Chinese scene has always been deep and that’s on full display outside the top 10. Zhang "Faith_bian" Ruida, Xie "Super" Junhao, and Zhou "Yang" Haiyang are inside the top 20 and it may be only a matter of time before the rest of the Elephant roster takes over the rankings.
