比达尔透露，自己因为和一位无症状感染者近距离接触而中招，现在被查出了阳性。
而据智利媒体报道，比达尔已经离开了国家队集训基地，接受住院治疗了，因为他出现了严重的扁桃体溃烂症状。
比达尔将缺席接下去对阿根廷和玻利维亚的世界杯预选赛比赛，能否参加美洲杯还是未知数。
