23岁的图安泽贝上赛季为红魔出场过18次，本赛季随着瓦拉内（即将）到来，他的顺位进一步后移，索尔斯克亚决定让他外租锻炼。
维拉官方声明说：“很高兴宣布从曼联租借签下图安泽贝，2019年在帮助维拉重返英超时，他是阵容中的关键成员。”
曼联则披露，图安泽贝是在续约之后被外租的：“他和曼联签了一份新合同，到2023年6月，另有延长一年的选项。而在2021-22赛季，他将租借维拉效力一年。”
