《曼切斯特晚报》透露，格雷泽家族决定破坏曼城的计划，而弗格森也和C罗进行了交流。之后曼城退出了对C罗的追求。不过消息源表示，是C罗主动拒绝了曼城，因为在曼联联系他之后，他就对曼城不感兴趣了。
