北京时间周三上午，世界杯预选赛南美区第14轮比赛结束，阿根廷提前4轮出线，成为第13只确定参加明年世界杯的球队。
卡塔尔世界杯官方推特也对阿根廷队的晋级表示了祝贺。
世界杯官推打出了“阿根廷，欢迎来到卡塔尔”字样，配上了卡塔尔的城市风光，以及一支拿着马黛茶的手的图片。马黛茶正是梅西的最爱。
官推还表示：“你能想象梅西来到卡塔尔美丽的球场内吗？你应该这么想，因为阿根廷将参加2022年卡塔尔世界杯！”
