科帕奖奖励的是21岁以下的最佳球员。据悉《法国足球》邀请了32位前金球奖得主参与投票，梅西给了佩德里3分，给了他在巴黎圣日耳曼的队友努诺·门德斯2分，给了贝林厄姆1分。
在得奖后，佩德里也感谢了梅西，表示梅西在场上场下都为自己提供了很大的帮助。
