美国篮球记者沃神爆料，大莫里斯与热火队达成一份为期一年的合同，具体金额尚未披露。在此之前，热火队先后签下了凯尔-洛瑞、PJ塔克，并且提前续约了吉米-巴特勒。
大莫里斯上赛季场均为湖人出战19.7分钟，能够贡献6.7分4.4个篮板和1.2次助攻。
