Gambit Esports introduces its new Dota 2 roster

Gambit Esports is set to re-enter the Dota 2 scene with a new roster after an extended period of inactivity. The CIS organization has picked up young players with limited professional experience to play under its banner.

Gambit Esports announced their re-entry in Dota 2 esports with a roster that included some unfamiliar names.

Albert "eine" Garayev, Andrey "meLes" Romanov, Artem "Lorenof" Melnik, and Anton "yy" Shkredov will be the new additions to Gambit's up and coming roster. Danial "xsvamp1re" Alibaev is the only player from the previous roster who will continue to keep his slot as a support player. Xsvamp1re has stuck with Gambit Esports since 2019 and will continue to play for the team in the coming tournaments.

Gambit's young players aren't quite as unknown as one might assume. Gambit's mid laner Lorenof debuted with Team NOVA in 2020 and has recently played a few tournaments with Team Unique. The 17-year-old will get a have opportunity with Gambit to showcase his talent in the mid lane.

yy had a brief experience in competitive Dota2 play from his time in Team Spirits. The team's carry has also previously played in Hellraisers and Team Unique as a stand-in.

Off laner Meles will be the most inexperienced player in Gambit's new setup. Meles has a brief experience as a stand-in in different rosters. Playing in Gambit will likely help him grow as a professional.

Gambit Esports' Dota 2 roster is completed with their most skilled player, eine, who has previously propelled VP.Prodigy to win Epic Prime League Season 1. VP.Prodigy benched the star support player despite his stellar performance in ESL One Birmingham 2020 Online and at WePlay's event. Gambit esports was quick to pick him as its hard support player.

Gpk and dream remain on bench for Gambit

Currently, both Danil "gpk" Skutin and Kiyalbek "dream" Tayirov sit on Gambit's bench, and XSVamp1re will be the only veteran player to accompany the newcomers. Considering eine's experience and Xsvamp1re's tenure in the team, the two players are strong contenders for the position of team's IGL.

The CIS organization's Dota 2 division has seen plenty of ups and downs in the past few months. A mutual decision saw their most experienced player and in-game leader Artsiom "fng" Barshak leave the squad to play for Alliance. Gpk was also recently loaned out to Evil Geniuses, leaving dream and Xsvamp1re to sort things out with Gambit's roster.
