Sebastian “Ceb” Debs isn’t going to be streaming for a little while.
The OG offlaner and two-time The International champion has been handed a ban from Twitch. It is unclear what resulted in the ban, and Ceb has not issued a statement on the matter. Ceb’s partner status is currently still active on Twitch, which means that the ban is not permanent.
As per usual, the lack of information regarding the ban has led to scattershot speculation over what could have led to the ban. Many Twitch streamers have been banned of late due to Twitch’s sweeping action against streamers playing copyrighted music on their channels, which has made this a popular theory on the reason behind his ban. Others point to how Ceb has long lived up to his former namesake of 7ckngmad and delivered scathing insults.
Ceb isn’t the first member of OG to receive a ban from Twitch. OG captain Johan “N0tail” Sundstein was handed a Twitch ban in 2019 for using a homophobic slur during a stream.
Did Ceb retire from pro Dota 2?
Ceb is now an active Dota 2 competitor, but he did retire in early 2020. Ceb has become one of Dota 2’s most popular players over recent years, but he has bounced in and out of competition throughout his career, starting his stint with OG as a coach before becoming an active competitor again.
He retired once again in 2020 alongside fellow two-time champs Anathan “ana” Pham and Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka. He returned to competition after a short time as OG dealt with numerous players being stuck overseas, but was once again designated as OG’s starting off laner in July.
Who is the owner of Team OG?
OG has a number of different shareholders, including players Ceb and N0tail. The team went from a placeholder name for a roster without a sponsor to a proper company, with Ceb and N0tail being partial owners. Also on the list of OG owners is Ceb’s brother Charlie Debs and Chief Revenue Officer Xavier Oswald.
